Well… it’s not likely that anyone living along the Comal River is going to do that to you, but you might get a ticket.
Tubers who exit the river onto residential property could get a ticket under a bill headed to Gov. Rick Perry.
The bill is HB 1129 and would change current law so that trespassing on residential property next to the river is a class C misdemeanor for which an officer can issue a ticket, rather than arresting the trespasser.
So, if you’re on the Comal, make sure that you exit at the designated exits. It’s bad enough that you might get a PI walking back to the tube rental, but it’d be even worse if you got a PI and a ticket for trespassing.
